Wisdom Ladies Donate Assorted Items to Kumasi Children’s Home
A women’s group known as Wisdom Ladies (Maa Nyansafo) has donated assorted items to the Kumasi Children's Home in the Ashanti Region to support the welfare and well-being of the children.
The donation exercise took place on Friday, March 6, 2026, where the group presented several items to the home. These included bags of rice, soft drinks, toilet rolls, cooking oil, clothing, bottles of water, cartons of biscuits, diapers and an undisclosed sum of money.
The Mother of the group, Adwoa Nyarko, said the gesture forms part of the group’s commitment to supporting the needy in society.
According to her, this is the group’s first donation, but they plan to continue undertaking similar initiatives in the future.
“Our aim is to support orphanages, prisoners, hospitals and other people in need. We came to the Kumasi Children’s Home to show love and support to the children and also encourage them to remain focused on their education,” she said.
She further called on leaders and other organizations to extend support to vulnerable children in society.
She added that if any individual or organization wishes to support such causes but prefers Wisdom Ladies to present the items on their behalf, the group is ready to do so without hesitation.
Receiving the items on behalf of the home, a social worker at the Kumasi Children’s Home, Madam Cecilia Oppong, expressed appreciation to the group for their kind gesture.
She prayed for God’s blessings upon the members of Wisdom Ladies and asked that they continue their good work.
Madam Cecilia Oppong also appealed to leaders and organizations to support the home in caring for the children.
