One Dead, Several Injured as Truck Tumbles Into Broken Bridge

 One person has reportedly died and several others have sustained injuries after a cargo truck carrying passengers and goods from Gbandri Market fell into a broken bridge between Jimbale and Wawa in the Yonyoo Nasuwani District of the North East Region.



The accident occurred on Monday, November 17, 2025, around 9:00 a.m., when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to tumble into the broken bridge.

‎Nicholas, an eyewitness, told reporters that the bridge has been in a deplorable state for the past four years, describing it as a death trap in the area .




The deceased has been taken to the Bunkpurugu Hospital, where the injured are also receiving treatment.

‎Residents are calling on the government and relevant authorities to urgently repair the bridge to prevent further tragedies.
